The course will help the students enhance their vocational and entrepreneurial skills and get more employment opportunities.
The students will be provided with the knowledge and skills for minimizing post harvest and producing value added food products, develop human resource for post harvest management and for primary processing of fruits and vegetables produce at the production areas.
The course duration is 1 year, however a student will get the flexibility of completing the course in 4 years.
Eligibility for IGNOU Fruits and Vegetables processing diploma course is 10+2 passed outs or IGNOU’s Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP).
50% fee will be reduced to students from rural areas and from below poverty line upon submission of a valid proof.
Application forms can be downloaded online or can be obtained from any IGNOU regional study centres by paying Rs 200 or by post by sending a DD of Rs 250 in favor of IGNOU, New Delhi, to Registrar (Student Registration Division), Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-68.
Last date to submit applications to IGNOU Fruits and Vegetables processing diploma course without late fee is 8th July 2013 and with late fee is 31st July 2013.
