Hubli, Mysore colleges gets permission from MCI for extra seats admission

Medical Council of India (MCI) accepts State Government’s request and gives permission for admission to 50 additional seats each in Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hubli and Mysore Medical College and Research Institute undergraduate courses.

Decision on 100 extra seats each at three other government medical colleges is yet to be taken.

Because of the pending decision on three other colleges excess seats permission by Medical Council of India (MCI), State Government postponed the announcement of the seat matrix to undergraduate medical courses admissions till 24th of June 2013.

Earlier Medical Council of India had stopped admission of 400 seats at five medical colleges across the state.

Now that Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli gets nod for the 50 extra seats admission each, decision of 100 additional seats each at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences and Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences has to be taken.
