[ads1] Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) invites applications from eligible candidates for Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2014 which will be held for admissions to 1st year/semester ME, M.Tech and M.Arch courses at various colleges across the state for the academic year starting from 2014.
Candidates with valid GATE score also should compulsorily enter the online application to become eligible for the admissions, though they need not to appear before the examination.
Applications for Karnataka PGCET 2014 can be submitted online from 20th June 2014.
Aspiring candidates should select the PGCET 2014 option on KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in and enter all the required details. Upon successful completion they will get an application id and password to the email id mentioned in the details and the same information will also be made displayed on screen.
Then the candidates have to upload the recent passport sized photo and signature in jpg format separately.
The applying candidates then have to take the printout of the challan and have to make a payment of Rs 650 (Rs 500 for SC/ ST Category 1 only for Karnataka students) in any branch of State Bank of Mysore. Residents of Karnataka can also make payment by utilizing E-payment facility in post offices. After payment Bank or post office will retain the challan and provide cope of the challan to the candidates.
Then the candidates have to take a print out of Application form in A4 sized paper, affix recent passport sized photo, put signature and left hand thumb impression on the provided space, then have to obtain principal of their studied institution signature and seal.
Last date for submitting applications online for Karnataka PGCET 2014 for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch courses is 10th July 2014.
Last date to pay fee is 12th July 2014.
Admission tickets for the examination can be downloaded from 20th July 2014.
Karnataka PGCET 2014 for ME, M.Arch and M.Tech courses will be held on 26th July 2014 (Saturday).
Exam for the courses offered by VTU, UVCE, UBDTCE (Type-A) will be held from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Exam for the other courses will be held from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and the both exams will be for 100 marks.
