[ads1]Medical Council of India (MCI) approves admissions of 300 pending medical seats accepting the request of the Karnataka State Government.
With this Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences and Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences got permission to admit 100 additional students each at their institutions.
Earlier MCI given permission to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hubli and Mysore Medical College and Research Institute for admitting 50 additional students each at their institutions.
Karnataka state government assured Medical Council of India that all required facilities in the medical colleges where admission to extra seats are permitted will be fulfilled.
The decision of MCI will make merit students from lower income families pursue medical courses in government medical colleges at affordable costs.
Seat matrix for the courses will be announced by the government in few days. Then Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will start the online counseling process for the admissions.
